Pollen Murals

 

Working with the team of biologist Dr. Alan Harvey and artist GSU Wendy and Jeff received a 2019 Georgia Southern Center for Sustainability Grant to create Biology themed murals  about the pollen species. Using a scanning electron microscope the images are digitally collected and then colorized in photo editing software. The resulting murals, invite the community  to become part of the installation processes while also learning about the local types of pollen and their benefits.
