ATTACKARATUS Series of PlantBots

Attackaratus PlantBots are so fierce and hardy that when PlantBot Geneticists find one, they immediately (at great risk to themselves) try to contain the specimen for study. The Attackaratus is a Superbug specimen resistant to the inserted Bacillus thuringiensis or Bt gene in modified crops designed to kill insects. It is inevitable that resistance builds with each insect generation, and our first-rate team of entomologists is hopeful the attack will be contained. Thus far, current pesticides cannot destroy increasing populations of these bugs. These bots are extremely aggressive towards each other and, when placed side by side, become extremely agitated.

Biotechnology can provide many benefits for society. However, much of the information furnished is selective, elusive, or erroneous. Evidence strongly suggests that GM crops engineered to produce pesticides or withstand powerful chemical herbicides damage beneficial insect populations result in aggressive populations of insect pests, and create herbicide-resistant super-weeds. At the least, the public has a right to transparency in food production so consumers can decide for themselves. Transparency = Accountability
